The holidays are the best time of the year, and occasionally the MOST STRESSFUL time of the year. Between all the extra events, the parties, the concerts, the elf, baking treats, and shopping for gifts, there isn’t a lot of time to truly enjoy the season. That’s where my guide for high quality gifts for your family comes in.
I have been known to have some sub-par gifts in the past. (The rotisserie grill accessory – we don’t talk about it.) But since then, I have made it my mission to focus on quality over quantity, on what will be used, and on less is more. This anti-overconsumption may have come from being a teacher for a few years, receiving six new mugs in one day, and genuinely appreciating the thought behind the gift. But who are we kidding? My kitchen isn’t that big, and most of the gifts would end up getting donated sooner or later.
Being in my decluttering era, I try not to clutter up other people’s houses with well-meaning gifts that they don’t need, which is why I have a short little guide to help you with thoughtful gifts that they will love.
High Quality Gifts for Her
These gifts for her are definitely leaning toward self-care. Women in general are nurturers, and we love to take care of everyone. Sometimes we don’t take care of ourselves as much as we need to. These simple luxe items will make her feel soo good and relaxed.

- Kindle – If she already has one, you can upgrade her to a bigger storage or longer battery life. If she doesn’t have one, get her one. She’ll love it. Bonus points if you include Kindle Unlimited with it. Kindle Unlimited has 1000s of books INCLUDED in the price so that she can read and read and read.
- Silk Pillowcase – These are a must for women, men too honestly. Silk pillowcases are better for your skin and your hair. It’s also so cool to the touch and makes sleeping that much better. They come in so many different colors and designs, you can find one that will fit her personality or her bedroom.
- Sleepy Tie – The sleepy tie and Curly tie are some of my favorite beauty hacks. It keeps your hair out or your face while you are sleeping, and not tangled or weird creases if you have fine hair like me. I also use these for my girls. It makes life so much better.
- Bamboo Pajamas – I bought these when I was pregnant with my 2nd, and I still wear them 4 years later. The quality is fantastic, they hold up really well, and there is something about a matching set that just makes you feel better.
- Spa Day: Facial, massage, manicure/pedicure – This is always a good idea, for any occasion.
- Uggs – The slippers, the minis, the moccasins. So comfy and keep your cold feet warm during the winter.
- Gift card to her favrorite drink spot (Dutchies, Starbies, Swigs, etc) – no explanation needed.
- Brumate Era Tumbler – A great tumbler. I know I was saying you don’t need a million cups and its true. But you do need one. And this is THE ONE. Its stainless steel, including the straw on the inside, and the top is silicone so you don’t have to worry about your kid impaling themselves. It also twists to lock so it is leak proof. Its a 10/10.
- Lululemon Crossbody – The belt bags are nice, but they just don’t hold that much. Get the bigger version so she can run out the house with more than her phone and keys. Can fit some spare underwear and pants for a potty-training toddler, or a couple diapers and wipes.
- Caraway Baking Sheets – They are beautiful and the cookie sheets you have now are probably pushing 10 years old. It might be nice to get some new ones.
High Quality Gifts for Him
These high-quality gifts for him are geared toward a health-conscious, fitness-loving man. These are things that are going to make his life easier, high-quality, and things that he will actually use. Men are so difficult to shop for because when they need or want something, they buy it themselves. These are things he will use, but probably doesn’t splurge on. So that’s where it is a lovely gift, because it’s a higher quality, more luxe version of something he already has.

- Shinesty Boxer Briefs – Super comfortable, lots of fun colors.
- Lululemon Licensed to Train Short Sleeve – high quaility and looks great on
- Lululemon Licensed to Train 7″ short – high quality, great for training and the perfect length. Not too long or too short
- Le Labo Santal 33 Travel Set – smells so good. TRUST ME.
- Truff Hot Sauce – Hot sauce on everything – and this is a favorite
- His favorite Protein Powder – We love Dymatize Fruity Pebbles or Cocoa Pebbles, but get whatever his favorite one is.
- Take him to a nice steak dinner (your treat) – Or if you are a great cook, cook all his favorite meals, or bake his favorite cookies
- Puma socks – they are the best. Hands down.

High Quality Gifts For Tweens
These are primarily geared toward tween girls. This is for your girls, who want to be grown, but aren’t grown yet. They are learning to take care of themselves and practicing self-care. But she’s still a kid and needs to play.

High Quality Gifts For Kids
About half of these are geared toward little girls, but the other half are gender-neutral. Little kids are in that fun age. They are into the bigger toys, and have bigger personalities. They are getting their coordination where they can start playing the fun Mario games, but don’t need anything too crazy.

- Nintendo Switch & Super Mario or Mario Kart – They are at that age where this is fun and uses their brain instead of just watching tv.
- Drifter Scooter – these are so much fun. They can play outside for hours on this
- Cozy Crocs – It’s winter, so get the insulated crocs. My daughter loves her crocs.
- Evereden Haircare – The shampoo/conditioner combo is my favorite for when we travel, and I don’t know what they put in their stuff, but it makes detangling her hair so much easier. (Receive 15% off if you use my link)
- Cute bath bombs from Lush – so cute – make bathtime more fun
- Piggypaint Non-toxic nail polish – Do her nails, but make it non-toxic.
- Dollhouse From Costco – This is seriously so cute. A little vacation house, all wood, and high quality.

- Microphone – What child doesn’t love to hear themselves talk.
- Fujifilm camera – Seeing what they take pictures of is so cute. You get to see their world.
